Thanks to everyone who came to our first general meeting yesterday! It was nice to meet all of you and hopefully, we'll be seeing more if you around at our events; you guys can also come by our table just to hang out, we love meeting new people! Just to let you know, we will be having our Officer Application Interviews on September 9th and 10th, so please turn in those applications to us either by sending it to my email, christinahoong@berkeley.edu, or at tabling from 9:00AM-1:00PM on Upper Sproul, or you can even turn it in at our upcoming event, Game Night!

For those of you who want an application you can download it here (.doc), or drop by our table to pick one up!

The follow Officer Positions available right now are:
Publicity Chair: basically design flyers for events so that we can advertise our upcoming events
Productions Chair: in charge of putting together and hosting a big end of the year CSA event
Finanace Chairs: help find sponsors and fundraise opportunities for the club
Historian: attending all events and making a scrapbook at the end of the semester
Webmaster: basically in charge of updating the website
You can apply for more than one position, but you will only be allowed to hold one position :)

I also want to let everyone know that Game Night will be this coming up Wednesday in 185 Barrows starting at 7:30 PM so come join in the fun of playing poker, mahjong, mafia, taboo, and more!

Welcome to a brand new semester at Cal! The officers of CSA wish you all an exciting semester in your academic work as well as extracurricular activities. Come to our table at Calapalooza for free McDonald's giveaway items, including pens, notebooks, and gift cards! For the first 2 full weeks of the semester, we will be tabling on upper Sproul from 9am to 1pm, so drop by to learn more about our upcoming events:

Come and have fun with CSA and see what we are all about! There will be a competition between groups to see who will be ahead of the line to receive free food and drinks! So come join us for a friendly competition and mingle with other CSAers. Also, those interested in joining the CSA officer core can learn more about it at this informational meeting.

Come have fun at game night hosted the week after first gen. Bring your new friends to play games like mahjong, poker, mafia, taboo and more! Refreshments will be served!

We hope everyone had a fun-filled and relaxing spring break! CSA will be holding the BIGGEST event of the semester next month. It is our annual culture show, and this year's theme is Hello! My American Bad Romance. There will be guest performances by other student groups, including Danceworx, TruElement, Fei Tian Dancers, CAL Wushu, Erhu Decal, and more! Check out our flyers:

If you are interested in taking part in our culture show, please take part in the culture show auditions! This is a great opportunity to get very involved and also learn a lot about Chinese culture. No acting experience necessary! Just come out and have fun!

Chinese New Year Banquet - TBD
Celebrate the Chinese New Year with your CSA family! This is a night of celebration, with an exquisite meal and dancing with music provided by our talented DJ. Chinese New Year is all about the celebration, and this is the hottest night in town!

In addition, make sure you signed up for CSA membership! The membership card not only represents your history here at Berkeley and your support for CSA, it also contains discounts at business stores around Berkeley.
